K3 FILM FESTIVAL UDINE | 21 + 22 NOVEMBRE
For this 7th edition the final stage of K3 Film Festival will take place in Udine with a new location - Cinema Centrale - in the heart of the city. The 21st and 22nd of November will be two days with a very captivating programme.
On Thursday the Friuli Venezia Giulia Competition will be the leading actor, while Friday will be dedicated to the 3X3 competition, there will take place the final clash between three short film nominations from Carinthia, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Slovenia. A lecture on film music by Metropolis International Film Academy and a live performance of “The Bloom Machine and The Mechanical Tales” will enrich both days of the festival.
FRAME proposes a focus on experimental cinema and video art. The relationship between video art and experimental cinema will be shown and questioned during several occasions along the two days in an interactive dialogue between audience and experts. Among many we would like to highlight two central events: a retrospective of Slovenian film-maker Marc Davorin, a film-maker that started his work on analogue film and after almost 30 years took his first steps toward digital film making; and Phosphors, silver salts and fractals by Carlo Montanaro, that represents best the question that is also asked by the other programmes of FRAME: How did media change video art and experimental cinema?
The debate’s moments will be various and will take place over both days of the Festival.
