Für die selbstreflexive Behandlung eines kreativen Prozesses. Die Geschichte zweier Freunde, die sich eine gemeinsame Familiengeschichte, sowie dieselbe Erzählerstimme (Martin Dueller) teilen. Eine unbeschwerte Verflechtung aus Fiktion und dokumentarischen Elementen, die mit der Ästhetik eines Homevideos ein versiertes Storytelling an den Tag legt; stets mit einer ironischen Distanz, die schon beim Titel beginnt: Ibiza.

// For a self-reflexive treatment of the creative process. A story of two friends who share a family history and the same narrator's voice. An untroubled intertwining of fiction and documentary elements that employs a home video aesthetics in the service of a very skillfull storytelling. Thereby, keeping an ironic distance already starting with the title.

Der K3 Publikumspreis wird auf eine wohl weltweit einzigartige Art und Weise verliehen: Nicht durch eine anonyme Stimmzettelwahl, sondern in einer offenen Diskussion mit dem Publikum!

Zuerst darf das Publikum unmittelbar nach den Kurzfilmprogrammen mittels Stimmzettel seine Favoriten bestimmen. Die drei Filme mit den meisten Stimmen werden am letzten Tag des Festivals ein weiteres Mal gezeigt und dienen als Anregung zur direkt anschließenden offenen Publikumsdiskussion. Hier bestimmt das stärkste Argument den Gewinner des K3 Audience Awards.

// The K3 Audience Award is awarded in a very special way, probably even in a worldwide unique way: Not by an anonymous vote, but in an open discussion with the audience! At first the audience can anonymously vote their favorite short film after each programm. The three films with the most votes are shown again on the last day of the festival and serve as an inspiration for the subsequently open public discussion: The best argument indicates the winner of the K3 Audience Award.

The K3 international Short Film Award 2015 (1.500 EUR) goes to BRUNSBUETTEL BRIDGE by Karsten Wiesel because of its curious, intelligent and equal treatment of both, sound and the visual aspect, which are engaged in interplay, an orchestrated symphony. The technical brilliance of the film is convincing; architectural details and passion of the maintenance workers were put together with great thought into a round concept. Seen metaphorically, the bridge connects more than two different sides of the river.

3X3 KURZFILMPREIS

3X3 ist ein überregionaler Kurzfilmwettbewerb an dem jeweils drei Nominierungen aus Kärnten, Slowenien und Friaul-Julisch Venetien teilnehmen.
// The 3X3 Short Film Award emerged from the wish to support local filmmakers. At the same time K3´s inherent concept of establishing cross-border cooperation has called for a supra-regional competition where filmmakers meet and where the audience gets to know topics and filmic approaches of the neighbouring regions. Local competitions are held in Slovenia, Carinthia (Austria) and Friuli Venezia Giulia (Italy) and from each of them a jury nominates three films to take part at the 3X3 supra-regional competition. Finally one out of these 9 films will be awarded with the 3X3 Short Film Award.

The 3X3 Short Film Award 2015 goes to Il Principe // The Prince by Davide Salucci for its timelessness, contemporary take on fairytales with the emphasis on clever dialoques, bold use of the animation technique and the philosophical question the film poses.
