The film starts with an aerial view of the suburbian residential area of Hörtendorf / Trdnja vas near Klagenfurt / Celovec. Identical detached houses are in a checkerboard pattern. Swimming pools and trampolins, only visible from a bird’s eye view, are hidden from the streets behind high thuja hedges. In one of these houses, Rozica Dărăban cares for the 95-year-old Jakob Höberl. The film follows her for one day in her life that she switches monthly from Austria to Romania. The day of the move back to her home village of Dicănesti becomes part of REZONANȚĂ – RESONANZ – just like a day with her family there. The village with its houses and surrounding landscape seems to be a counter-world to the well-structured suburbia. Yet both are in resonance with each other – not least because of Rozi who has been living in both places half the time since 10 years.
