A. SUMMER FILM RESIDENCY Villach

3-month Work grant for film-makers incl. accommodation and working place in Villach. Open to international filmmakers, open to all genres and stages.

Deadline: 31st March 2022

The province of Carinthia in cooperation with the city of Villach awards again a scholarship for film endowed with € 3.600,- (€ 1.200,- / month), including residential opportunity and working place in Villach for three months (July, August, September).

This grant aims to give film-makers the opportunity to establish lasting contacts with the local film scene and ideally realise a project. Apart from the accommodation and work placement, the existing local network provides the best possible support. The results of the work completed during the three-month period will be presented at the K3 Film Festival.

Eligible for the grant are:
• Production of a short, documentary, art or animation film
• Film script or material development (open for all formats)

Eligible applicants include aspiring as well as established film-makers. The submitted projects do not have to be realized completely during the three-month period. It is also possible to complete a previously started project. Completed projects cannot be taken into account.

B. DEVELOPMENT GRANT
FOR FEATURE FILMS AND SERIES

The development grant has a runtime of six months and aims to projects with a very strong reference to the region of Carinthia.

Deadline: 30th April 2022

The Province of Carinthia/Austria is awarding a € 5.250,- grant (€ 875,- per month) over a runtime of six months. This grant aims to give film-makers the opportunity to focus on the creative process and to develop a film project or to finalize a script during the term.

Eligible for the grant are:
• development of a film project (script or subject matter) or
• finalization of a script
• open to all genres with a minimum runtime of 70 minutes 

Eligible applicants:
• people who were born or work in Carinthia (Austria)
• projects that are going to be produced in Carinthia or have a strong thematic connection to the area. 

Both current and fully to-be-developed projects can be submitted. Completed film projects or projects that have already received a grant from the Province of Carinthia cannot be considered in the decision.
