80 years after the beginning of the Second World War the film is posing questions – maybe not new but in a different way. The structure of violence, power and powerlessness, political (dis)interest and the misunderstood image of a man, who has to fight for his country, pulls similarities into today´s time. Fictional and documentary elements form an assembled work to remember the times of war, yet at the same time set the trace to contemporary issues.
