Peter Waldert, born in 1997 in Lower Austria, first stepped onto a film set in 2019 as a PA for his friend Helmut Karner. This sparked his interest in acting. After early extra roles in projects by David Schalko, Andreas Prochaska and others, he gradually moved into speaking roles. In 2020 he joined the MISFITS ensemble in Vienna and became active in the city’s independent theatre scene, while also appearing in several short films.

In 2022, together with Katharina Schmirl and Helmut Karner, he laid the first conceptual foundations for what would later become MEERESRAUSCH // SOMEWHERE IN TEXAS—a project that originally started as a simple showreel scene.Alongside acting, he has worked in production and is currently part of the organizing team at Kulisse Wien.
