A young author in search of fame tracks down an elderly successful writer who has been retired from the world for years. She lives in a luxurious villa with her entourage, completely isolated in the mountains of Carnia in a surreal atmosphere where the cold is a kind of cryogenesis. The relationship between the two women appears strange from the outset, until the tremendous pact between them is revealed: fame in exchange for an extreme sacrifice.
