Roller skating is forbidden by the police in Uganda. They claim it is used as a tool for thugs and thieves, saying they utilize the skill of weaving through traffic to snatch things from cars and trucks. But for many young Ugandans such as for Brian from the Clear Level Crew, skating is much more than a sport. It is a mindset, which provides a new sense of pride, self-expression and perspective.
