Darko Štante was born in 1975 in Ljubljana. He graduated from the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Ljubljana. At the moment, he is finishing his master’s degree program in film directing at the Ljubljana Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television. In the past, he has worked as an assistant director on various commercial productions and has authored own projects. His feature film debut CONSEQUENCES / POSLEDICE premiered 2018 at Toronto International Film Festival in the Discovery section.
