Scholarship Project: Deadworld Protocol
Runtime: 8:03 min | Genre: Experimental film | Year: 2025
During his residency in Villach, Hurschler developed the experimental film Deadworld Protocol. Created with text-to-video AI, the film explores how new technologies shape our perception of reality. It depicts familiar suburban spaces marked by subtle ruptures: water moves unnaturally, buildings repeat, and lights freeze in the sky. The everyday turns uncanny, forming a visual record of a world that appears real but has never been lived in.
